We'll be playing a gig at King Tuts on Thursday April 10th with Enjoy Destroy, tickets can be bought from Tuts on the night or you can get in touch with us as we'll be selling them a bit cheaper. This should be a really good night so hopefully we'll see a lot of you there.

We're currently looking at some more possible gigs in the next coupls of months, we'll let you all know the details when anything is booked.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy new year folks!!!

We've been taking some time off over the festive period to top up our alcohol blood levels but we'll be heading back into the studio soon and we'll hopefully have a couple of gigs lined up before the end of the month.

23rd December

HUGE THANKS AND MERRY XMAS!

A huge thank you to everyone who was at Tuts last night, it was probably our favourite Strummer night so far, always nice to play to a packed out Tuts and the crowd were absolutely amazing, I think Greg enjoyed his first gig with us and he played a blinder too.

Merry Christmas to everyone and we hope to see you all a lot in the new year

1st Dexember

ANNUAL JOE STRUMMER NIGHT

We'll once again be appearing at the annual Joe Strummer tribute night at King Tuts on December 22nd, this will be the fifth year and we've been lucky enough to play all of them, they're always a great way to round off the gigging year, tickets are available from Tickets Scotland but you'll have to be quick as it's almost sold out again.

This will also be our first gig with our new guitarist Greg so we hope to see a few familiar faces there to help break him in gently (as the actress said to.......)

TOUR AFTERMATH & SOME SAD NEWS

We've been back from tour for a couple of weeks now and livers are almost back to normal, we'd just like to say a huge thank you to everyone from Fu Manchu and Valient Thorr for making it such an amazing experience for us, we loved every minute of it.

Unfortunately since the tour finished Paul has decided to hang up his guitar tuner, we're all sad to see him go but we understand his decision to leave the band and hopefully he'll make it along to some of our future gigs to heckle us.

We will be auditioning for a new guitarist over the next few weeks, if anyone is interested please get in touch with us at deadcityriots@hotmail.com.

The video for Kerosene is finished and is looking great, we'll have it up on the site as soon as I can figure out how to.

VIDEO UPDATE AND POWERPLAY MAGAZINE

The video for Kerosene was filmed at the end of January and we're now eagerly awaiting the finished product, as soon as we have it we'll put it up on the downloads page and on our Myspace page, we had a great time shooting it and we'd like to thank everyone at Walrus and Carpenter, especially Cavan and Jason, and Sooz, for all their hard work and for putting up with a bunch of drunk musicians for a couple of days.

Kerosene is also included in the March issue of Powerplay magazine's cover CD along with a lot of other great bands, you can pick up a copy from most good newsagents.

10th January 2007

HAPPY (BIT LATE) NEW YEAR!!!

We've just about recovered from the festivities so it's time to get back to work. We'll be shooting a video for "Kerosene" this month, not sure when we'll have the finished product but as soon as we do it'll be up on the site, Paul's a wee bit camera shy so he's especially looking forward to it, lots of close-ups of a very misereable looking guitarist on the way.

There's no gigs booked at the moment but that will change in the near future, we're looking into several things and we should be able to announce a few dates soon, including a very special charity gig.

7th November

ALBUM NEWS

We've had the first few reviews for our album and so far they've been pretty good, you can check them out on the reviews page.

We've had a couple of problems with distribution so the album isn't in the shops in Glasgow yet, this should be sorted out soon though, apologies for the delay, but you can still order it from any high street record store anywhere in the country. It will aslo be available soon to download from all the usual places, we'll let you know when that's up and running.

5th September

ALBUM RELEASE!

We're pleased to announce that our debut album "Always is never the same" will be released on October 2nd on Casket.

It will be available from all record stores throughout the U.K. although if you live outside of Glasgow you may have to ask them to order a copy in for you, you'll also be able to download or order it online from all the usual places, we'll have full details of where you can get it on the site over the next couple of weeks.

We'll also be having an album launch night at Nice n' Sleazys on Sat October 7th with Echobass and 1 more to be confirmed.

24th August

Gig Update

For anyone who doesn't know our gig at Tuts on Sept 1st has unfortunately been cancelled due to Mother Superior deciding to do some festival dates instead.

We do have another gig lined up for next month though, we've been asked to support our friends from down south Kid Ego on the Glasgow leg of their U.K. tour on the 15th Sept at the Garage. These guys are just back from a very successful U.S. tour and are an amazing live band, tickets are £7 on the door or you can order them from www.rockrevolutionltd.com, you can check out their myspace page here

18th July

Thanks to everyone who came along to see us at the Edinburgh Rat Race on Sunday, it was a great day, at one point we thought we were going to have to cancel as our drummer was lost in the wilderness (Drymen) but at the last minute the day was saved by our bass player Cammy's 14 year old nephew Raymond who luckily enough knew our stuff well enough to stand in on drums and played a fantastic set, we all owe him a big thank you for doing such a great job.

We've just confirmed a gig at King Tuts on Friday September 1st, it's been a while since we played there but it's always a good night, we're playing with Mother Superior, these guys have played with Iggy Pop, Lemmy, Queens of the Stone Age and many more, they're probably most well known as Henry Rollins backing band so this should be a cracking night, tickets are £8 but if you get in touch with us we'll be selling them a bit cheaper.

The forum is now up and running and we'll have news on the album very soon, we promise!

7th July

Change of gig date

We're now playing The Edinburgh Rat Race on Sun 16th July instead of the Saturday, we should be onstage at around 7pm, it's still free entry so come along and listen to some great bands.

17th June 2006

New name, new site!

Hello everyone and welcome to our new site. For anyone who doesn't know we've also had a name change, we've changed our name from Freeview before our album comes out later in the summer, we thought now was the right time to do it, hope everyone likes the new name as much as we do.

There will be much more added to the site in the coming weeks, the forum will be up and running in the next couple of days and there will be various items available from the merch page including our new album when it's released.

We're just putting the finishing touches to our album at the moment, we'll let everyone know about release dates etc as soon as possible, our next gig is on Saturday 15th July as part of the Edinburgh Rat Race at Princes St Gardens, should be a great day and it's FREE ENTRY, we'll also be arranging our album launch night soon, in the meantime have a look around and let us know if you think anything needs improving.
